Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is prepared to make big sales this summer to assist his squad rebuild.
The Times says Roman Abramovich has already bankrolled moves for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig (£53million) and Hakim Ziyech from Ajax (£36.6m).
And Lampard has been told that any more key incomings this summer will have to be funded through sales.
N'Golo Kante may have to go, along with others at risk such as Marcos Alonso, Baba Rahman, Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Michy Batshuayi.
Chelsea remain interested in Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz but it is understood that the German, valued at around £75m, favours a switch to Real Madrid.
