The Kansas City Wizards announced today that forward Michael Kraus has been placed on waivers in advance of Wednesday’s MLS roster compliance deadline.
Kraus joined the Wizards as the 48th overall pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft. After spending his first two regular seasons in the reserves, Kraus made his MLS debut in the 2008 playoffs against Columbus. He went on to play 11 matches for the Wizards in 2009, scoring his first MLS goal against the Colorado Rapids on March 28.
With the waiving of Kraus, the Kansas City Wizards roster is now at the 24-player limit required by MLS. The Wizards open the 2010 season this Saturday, March 27th against D.C. United at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.
