Harry Kane suffered a losing debut with Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig.

Leipzig won 3-0 in the German season's curtain raiser.

Kane had signed for Bayern earlier in the day from Tottenham and came on as 64th-minute substitute to a huge cheer at the Allianz Arena.

But he was upstaged by Dani Olmo, who scored a hat-trick on the night.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel said: "It is a big problem because it feels as if we had done nothing in the past four weeks.

"I cannot explain it. It was just not enough in every department. I have no idea why. There is no relation between our form and attitude going into the game and our performance on the pitch.

"It is the worst thing because there is such a big discrepancy."
