Kane on losing Bayern Munich debut: No need to panic

Harry Kane says he enjoyed his Bayern Munich debut yesterday.

The former Tottenham striker featured in their German Super Cup defeat to RB Leipzig.

Kane said today: "It was just amazing to see the reception that I got [when he came on for his debut at Allianz Arena]. Walking out before the game and hearing the fans first and foremost.

"They started to sing my name and give me the round of applause. The game wasn't going so well and I came on in the 60th minute.

"It was unfortunate that we gave away the penalty so quickly after I came on because it really killed the momentum of the game because ultimately I wanted to come and win here last night. The whole team wanted tow in but that wasn't the case.

"There's no time to panic, there's a long season ahead. I'm just excited now to settle down after these few days of training, get to know the team even more and try and help them. Overall, all I can say is thank you to the fans and everyone at Bayern Munich for the amazing reception. Hopefully I can give them some reasons to cheer over the season."
