AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze has blamed injuries for their disappointing season.
"We have had so many problems and we have never seen the first team in action," Kaladze told Sky Sport Italia. "The fact that a player as good as Alessandro Nesta hasn't even played a game tells the story.
"I am sure we would have won something if we had been able to call on a full squad.
"It's difficult to say whether it would have been the Scudetto that we won, but we wouldn't have ended the season empty-handed. Hopefully things will go better for us next year."
Kaladze's recovery from a knee injury seems to be on track, but he isn't expected back before next season.
"I feel well, but it's still very early to talk about returning to the pitch," the Georgian explained.
"I am undergoing rehabilitation and I will be out for several months. I had been through a lot of pain at the start of the season and the operation seemed to be necessary."
