KAA Gent have confirmed interest in Valencia goalkeeper Mat Ryan.
The Australia international is set to leave Los Che next month and been linked with Olympique Marseille.
KAA chief Michel Louwagie told Super Deporte: "It will not be easy because there are French and Spanish teams behind his move, but we are interested.
"We have talked to him and we will try.
"The problem is that earns €2 million-a-season, so it will not be easy."
