Juventus ‘will do great things this year’ - Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic has given his thoughts on what is ahead for Juventus in the 2016/17 season.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international joined the Turin giants from AS Roma earlier this summer and after making his pre-season debut for the Bianconeri against Tottenham Hotspur in Melbourne, is confident the reigning Serie A champions will again taste success.

Juventus have left a huge amount of their star players back in Europe following Euro2016 but upon their return to Turin, the big names will integrate and make Massimiliano Allegri's side a force to be reckoned with according to Pjanic.

"It was a good game and an important match for us," he told reporters.

"We won and it's important that nobody's injured. I think we can do better but we did good things today.

"I've been with the team just one month and I'm learning about everybody. When we get back to Turin the other players will come also, we are a good team and we will do great things this year."

Pjanic spent five years at Roma before making the jump to Juve and believes that he will continue to assimilate and improve alongside his new teammates.

"As we go on in the next weeks the team will be better physically," he added after coming off as a second-half substitute in their 2-1 win over Spurs.

"It's normal. I can't play 90 minutes at the moment.

"I worked very hard, I'm new here, new trainings and new work but I'm not 100% fit and I'm feeling very good and every week I'm getting better."
