Juventus striker Amauri has sparked a race row after his red card in yesterday's friendly against Vicenza. The Brazilian elbowed Vicenza defender Valerio Di Cesare midway through the first-half and was immediately given his marching orders.
Tuttosport says there are claims from Juve that Amauri was provoked, but Di Cesare is adamant he did not make any racist slur against the Juve striker.
Juve coach Ciro Ferrara blasted Amauri in the post-match media conference, however, defender Fabio Cannavaro was more circumspect: "Amauri was wrong.
"But it's better to get this out of our system than later. He has already apologised to everyone."
