Juventus have officially released defender Jorge Andrade from his contract.

Two serious injuries prevented the former Portugal international from making an impact at Juve since his 2007 arrival.

After months of compensation negotiations, Juve said in a statement yesterday: "Juventus and Andrade have reached an agreement to mutually resolve their professional relationship.

"Therefore the player will be released from his contract and will be free to find another club.

"Juventus would like to wish him all the very best for his career at club and international level."
