Juventus midfielder Simone Padoin has been sold to Cagliari.

The 32-year-old joined the Bianconeri five years ago with excellent timing, having notched five Scudetti in the same number of years. But he only managed 14 games across all competitions last season, and his cycle was coming to an end.

“Juventus Football Club communicate that they have perfected the agreement with the club Cagliari Calcio for the definitive sale of the sporting services of the player Simone Padoin, for a price of €600,000 to be paid over three years," reads a statement on Juventus' official club.

“This operation does not generate any significant economic effects for Juventus."
