Juve striker Cristiano Ronaldo cancelled out a Matthijs de Ligt own goal, then Gigi Buffon saved three Inter penalties in the shoot-out.

Pjanic posted to social media: "Whether in Nanjing, Turin or Milan, Juve-Inter is the Italian Derby and even in July, winning is always beautiful.

"It will be a great challenge in the league."
