Juventus defender Alex Sandro says they must up their game for the second-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal against Ajax.
Cristiano Ronaldo's header was canceled out by David Neres for Ajax in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw.
“We knew it would be difficult here, Ajax played very well and so did we, although we must improve and have more possession. It was still a good performance," Alex Sandro told Sky Sport Italia.
“When we reach this stage of the competition, it's difficult to make predictions. Ajax are doing well, they have talented players and we just have to focus on our work."
On the second-leg, he added: “Every game has its own story. I think we need to play the same way we did against Atletico Madrid – or even better! Considering we scored an away goal, it's a good result.
“It's a pity Douglas Costa didn't score, as he would've deserved a goal."
