Juventus coach Allegri tells Barcelona midfielder Pjanic: I'm waiting for you

Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic is pushing to return to Juventus this summer.

Pjanic joined Barca last year in a swap involving Arthur, but struggled to make an impression in his first season in Spain.

And he is now eager to find a way back to Juve - with the support of Max Allegri.

Sport via Foot Mercato says new Juve coach Allegri has made it clear to Pjanic he's welcome him back in Turin.

The midfielder called Allegri to congratulate him on his return and the coach replied: “Thank you, 'Miré.' I am waiting for you! Here you will be a protagonist again."

For their part, Barca would be happy to send Pjanic back to Juve on-loan in order to clear his wages off the books.

Last season, Pjanic played 30 games for Barca under coach Ronald Koeman and only 19 in the La Liga. The 31 year-old has a contract with the Catalans to 2024.

At Juve, he spent four years in Turin, winning four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia titles and a Supercoppa Italia before leaving for Spain last year.
