Juventus remain interested in Aston Villa defender Olof Mellberg.

The Swede declared over the weekend he wanted to stay at Villa Park as he continued new contract talks.

However, Controcampo says Juve sports director Alessio Secco has watched Mellberg several times for club and country this season and is determined to secure his signature to a pre-contract in January.
