Juventus captain Alessandro del Piero admits the Europa League is a distraction.

Indeed, Del Piero says winning the competition would not make up for a disappointing domestic campaign.

He said: "We cannot look that far ahead and if I was to make a really definitive analysis of our entire season then winning the Europa League would not be enough to get over the disappointment of not having challenged for the Scudetto.

"The League table says it all. It has been a strange year for us, but I hope that we have matured after all that has happened and I hope these things do not repeat themselves at Juventus in the future."
