Juventus captain Chiellini: We can still beat Atletico Madrid

Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini insists their Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid isn't over.

Juve must overturn a 2-0 deficit suffered in Madrid for the first-leg of their round 16 clash.

Chiellini told Tuttosport: “The comeback requires belief and balance from us.

“Some incidents hurt us and we're disappointed, but the isn't over yet. Did Atletico surprise me? No, we knew what the match would be like.

“It was more or less what we expected, with these incidents that make the difference against a team who make everyone play badly, not just us.

“In the second leg we'll have to be proactive, play with great clarity and take advantage of the chances we get, while being careful from set-pieces because Atletico make the most of these situations.

“Will we need a super Ronaldo performance? Yes, but also super ones from Szczesny, De Sciglio, Bonucci, Chiellini...

“Everyone must have a great game, plus we have to score: when you score early, the game turns, like it did in four minutes in Madrid.

“We'll have to be more careful and want to go through even more than we did before."
