Jutkiewicz pleased to grab Everton brace

Lukas Jutkiewicz was happy with his brace for Everton in their 4-2 defeat to Cambridge United on the weekend.

He told evertonTV: "Obviously we expect to be coming here and winning games like this. It's only pre season but you have to get into the winning mentality.

"I take any goal I can get but I really enjoyed scoring and getting that feeling again obviously it doesn't really compare to the feeling in the dressing room and the atmosphere because everyone is disappointed with how it went.

"I'll just hopefully keep pushing on and try to score again but it was more disappointing for the way it went afterwards."

Although Cambridge currently play non-league football, Jutkiewicz knows from past experience that lower league sides up their game when they play sides from the top divisions.

He added: "Teams do up the ante when big teams come to town.

"I experienced it myself when I was at Swindon on loan - the whole week leading up to it you're looking forward to it and that's obviously the same with the lads here.

"They raised their games to the best of their ability so it was always going to be tough in that respect.

"But it wasn't good enough coming here and not winning."
