Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata is weighing up other contract options, according to his father.

The 30-year-old will become a free agent in June and has been linked with Barcelona and Valencia.

Mata's father, Juan Mata Snr, says they have received an offer from United, as well as clubs in the Champions League and Spain.

"Manchester United have offered to renew us, we are very happy," he told Cadena SER .

"But there are proposals from Champions League teams.

"Spain, maybe, but today is not the day to talk, it is not yet decided."
