Hearts midfielder Eggert Jonsson has penned a new four-and-a-half year contract with the Tynecastle club.
The 19-year-old has already broken into the Icelandic national side following some impressive performances this season and spoke of his delight at signing a new deal.
"I am really pleased to get the contract sorted out," he said. "I was always going to stay at Hearts, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead as you always want to improve.
"Tynecastle is a great stadium, the coaches are a great, we have a big support and the facilities at the academy are fantastic so it's all positive as far as I'm concerned."
