Jol expecting Schwarzer to play on for Fulham until after World Cup

Fulham manager Martin Jol believes Mark Schwarzer will continue playing at the top level for at least another two years.

The 40-year old goalkeeper is determined to represent Australia at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and according to Jol, will have no problems doing that while he is still a Fulham player.

"He (Schwarzer) can go on for the next one or two years but it's not like he is 22 and has another 10 years left in him," said Jol ahead of Monday night's Premier League meeting with QPR.

"But how old are goalkeepers? If you look for evidence of them being 44-45, I can't see it. So 40 is quite remarkable.

"They (Australia) will go to the World Cup and he wants to be there. He will be 42 and then he will come back to us hopefully."
