Johnson happier at Liverpool than at relegation-threatened Portsmouth

Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson has no regrets leaving Portsmouth for Anfield in the summer.

Johnson arrived at Anfield via West Ham, Chelsea and Portsmouth. He is now the No.1 right-back in Fabio Capello's England World Cup squad. He has come a long way fast.

And despite the problems at Liverpool, he says: "The spirit remains good. I thrive on situations like this. I'm here at the top because you want the challenge.

"I'd rather be here than playing for Portsmouth in a relegation battle. I smile every time I pull the red shirt on."
