Marouane Fellaini felt Manchester United simply got the 'job done' at St Etienne this evening.
The Red Devils defeated the French side 1-0 at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to qualify for the Europa League Round of 16 with a 4-0 aggregate.
After the match, midfielder Fellaini spoke of the importance of simply doing enough to get through.
"Yeah, we did the job," he told MUTV.
"With the atmosphere here it was difficult but we win today and we are qualified. That's the most important thing.
"That was the job done but they pushed, they wanted to win the game I think, the supporters push as well.
"But we defended well, we created chances in the end as well and in the end we qualified. The most important thing."
Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the only goal of the contest in the 16th minute as Jose Mourinho's men advanced comfortably to the next knockout phase.
