Jermaine Jenas says it's too soon to talk up Tottenham's title prospects.
Jenas would not go as far as his manager by openly declaring Tottenham title contenders.
But he did add: "It's a long season. There will be ups and downs.
"It's the tightest league for ages and it's just a matter of stringing some wins together."
That starts tonight as far as Jenas is concerned, with victory in their Champions League Group A clash with Werder Bremen guaranteeing Spurs a place in the last 16 with a game to spare.
"Obviously with such a busy schedule coming up through Christmas, if we can get through Wednesday, it would be a bit of a weight off our shoulders," he said.
"We can put the Champions League aside a bit.
"It would be nice to go through and concentrate on the Premier League over Christmas."
