Jay Rodriguez is set to return to action next month for Southampton.
The striker has been sidelined for seven months through injury.
The Sunday Mirror says after further minor surgery Rodriguez is on course for a January return, and is eager to impress Koeman and earn himself a new Saints contract, with his current one due to run out in 18 months time.
He was being touted as a £20million player when he won his only England cap to date, against Chile 13 months ago.
