Derby County signing James Wilson admits chatting with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho before his loan move.
Wilson sought the advice of his manager, together with United teammates from the past and present, before making his decision about which club to join.
“I had a few meetings with Jose before heading out here and he said that he wants to see me playing games and scoring goals," Wilson told the Derby County club website.
“He said that Derby was a good club. I also spoke to both Jesse [Lingard] and Michael [Keane] before coming here, and they said that I would be making a good decision to join the club.
“I want to play games, I want to score goals, I want to gain more experience and my focus is entirely on Derby County at the moment."
