Phil Jagielka says Brazilian striker Jo has settled quickly at Everton.
"We've got a couple of Portuguese-speaking lads, and they've made him feel welcome," revealed the England defender. "All of us try as much as we can.
"He seems a little bit at home here. It was nice for him to come to the Liverpool game and get a feel for the place."
The defender has admitted he already had great faith in the Jo's ability ahead of the clash with Bolton last weekend after witnessing his skills in training during his first few days at the Club.
"I think once we had looked at him properly in training he looked a confident kid", Jagielka told evertonTV. "If he can keep his confidence up it proves what a fantastic asset he can be at least until the end of the season.
"He's had a fantastic debut here and a fantastic performance up the front there with Tim.
"I had a great first touch and as soon as he had the first touch he was in his stride. The way he has been in training we had all the confidence he was going to put it away and thankfully he did."
