Chris Iwelumo is confident he has a future at Wolves.

The Scotland international was restricted to just two Premier League starts last season, partly due to injury, but still has a year remaining on his contract.

"The gaffer brought me on at half-time against Portsmouth and with an hour and a bit to go against Blackburn so I was getting my minutes," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"He was not putting me on just for the sake of putting me on. There are other strikers to choose from, Sylvan (Ebanks-Blake), Andrew Keogh, the Hoff (Stefan Maierhofer), Vokesy (Sam Vokes) so hopefully that means he sees there is a place for me.

"He knows what I'm about and what I can do and I've got to repay him by making sure that I come back in the best shape I can so as to do myself and him justice."
