Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has backed away from comments declaring he hoped Napoli would win the Scudetto.
AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has complained to FIGC about the issue.
"I don't support any team," Prandelli said. "Obviously it makes me very happy that a club like Napoli is organising itself to win the Scudetto: it's a phenomenon that does Italian football good.
"I am sorry if Galliani and the Milanisti are angry, but it's something that doesn't exist. I have clearly said that Milan have been top for 24 weeks and deserve to be first.
"Sure I also added that with a lead of three points they must be careful.
"As for the Scudetto I repeat the concept that has inspired me throughout my career: may the best team win."
