Italy coach Roberto Mancini says 18 year-old Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali deserves his call-up.

Tonali is a top target for Chelsea as he trains with the Azzurri this week.

Mancini told reporters: "I want to stress again that he's incredibly gifted and has clear margins for growth. I'll get to know him better over the next few days."

Tonali is already a mainstay in Brescia's side and has played in all 11 of their Serie B games this season.

He has provided one goal and four assists to boost their bid to return to Italy's top flight.
