Italy coach Marcello Lippi is going cold on the prospect of calling up Juventus striker Amauri for his World Cup squad.
Lippi had been expected to pick Brazilian Amauri, who will gain Italian citizenship in March, for the tournament in South Africa.
"There are five or six places left in the side and in May I'll choose who is in the best shape. As of today, everyone is under observation," Lippi told Simona Ventura's radio show.
"The Oriundi? I'm not really looking at them very much, we have enough Italians."
