Italy boss Antonio Conte was happy with his meeting with Serie A managers this week.
Conte is seeking more co-operation from clubs.
"It's very, very important [to work together]," Conte told Rai Sport.
"We've hit rock bottom, but I wouldn't say that it's over - we can still dig.
"Good intentions? People often talk nonsense, there are few who follow through on those intentions.
"There's a desire to build something important.
"We need to have an agreement, because while the clubs are important, the national team is important too. The national team belongs to everyone, we can't forget that.
"I'm someone who likes to deal in facts, or even better, actions."
