Italy boss Conte has no qualms with Liverpool's Balotelli

New Italy manager Antonio Conte insists he has no problems with controversial striker Mario Balotelli.

The former Juventus boss took the reins of the Azzurri just over a month ago following the resignation of Cesare Prandelli at the completion of the 2014 World Cup.

When pondering his team selection process, Conte, who has already overseen two internationals with the Italians, says Liverpool striker Balotelli will have no problems making sure he is equally as well-behaved both on and off the pitch.

"When considering football on and off the pitch, players will have to earn their spot on merit," Conte told Il Processo del Lunedi.

"Performances on the pitch will do the talking.

"I don't see Mario as a challenge because I don't compare myself to the past, so will not do it with him."
