Al-Ittihad are pulling out of talks for Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah.
The Saudis' last offer for Salah was a world record £215m, which Liverpool have resisted.
Foot Mercato says Al-Ittihad directors have now pulled back and may focus their attentions elsewhere in their search for a new striker.
The Saudi deadline falls on Thursday.
Salah is currently preparing to join Egypt's squad and has been kept up to speed on developments.
