Leganes striker Martin Braithwaite has emerged as a potential emergency signing for Barcelona.

Barca now have permission to buy a replacement for the injured Ousmane Dembele, whose season is over after undergoing hamstring surgery.

Mundo Deportivo says after exhausting several alternative avenues, Barca are now fousing on a deal for Denmark international Braithwaite.

The former Middlesbrough striker has been a revelation this season - with Leganes well aware that he is on Barca's radar.

Braithwaite also shares the same agent as Barca midfielder Frenkie de Jong, so making negotiations easier.

This season he has played 24 Liga games in which he has scored 6 goals and has given one assist.
