Real Madrid midfielder Isco is facing Champions League heartbreak next week.

Despite his outstanding Liga form in recent weeks, the Spain international will be benched for the final in Cardiff against Juventus.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane was happy to go with Isco for Sunday's title clinching game at Malaga, convinced playing in front of his hometown fans would inspire the playmaker.

And the Frenchman has the same feeling for Gareth Bale in Cardiff, which is why he will select the Welshman ahead of Isco for the Champions League final.

Zidane has already discussed his decision with president Florentino Perez and both are in agreement, says Diario Gol.

For his part, Isco is yet to be informed of Zizou's choice. A choice which could see Isco demand a transfer this summer.
