Isco has been named a new captain of Real Betis.
The former Real Madrid midfielder only signed for Betis last summer after a difficult 12 months.
But he has now been named one of four club captains after Andres Guardado's departure for Mexico earlier this month.
German Pezzella confirmed the news at his new contract signing ceremony yesterday: “Beyond the fact that he is one of the four captains, his way of behaving on a day-to-day basis, not only on but also off the field, gives us a lot.
“He makes a difference at a football and competitive level, we are happy."
