The former Rennes number one is desperate to quit Eastlands after failing to earn a first-team place with the Euro 2008 finals on the horizon.
"I have made it perfectly clear to Svennis that I want to leave and that Galatasaray is where I want to be now," Isaksson told Expressen.
"Finally, there is a club that want to give me a chance and I hope Manchester City don't ruin things.
"It is not acceptable for me to sit on the bench.
"I've made it really clear to him [Eriksson] that I want to leave. Galatasaray are buying me to play me.
"This is tremendously important to me.
"I have to get playing again and get my self-confidence back."
