Everton academy chief Alan Irvine is delighted with his return to the club.
Former Preston North End and Everton assistant manager Irvine rejoined the Blues last season to take a role with the Academy.
Most encouraging is his belief that there are some players he feels can go all the way.
"We have got a lot of very good young players in the system here and players we have high hopes for," he revealed to evertontv.
"The problem with youth development is that you are never quite sure what might happen along the way and there are a lot of things that can go wrong.
"Right at this moment if you wanted us to stick our necks out, then there are a few players we could name who have a chance of making it through all the way, but as I said, there are lot of things that can happen."
