Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has fielded an approach from the Iranian FA.

Iran are in need for a new national coach after Dragan Skocic's departure.

Foot Mercato says the FA made an approach to Solskjaer, but the Norwegian has turned them down.

Out of work since his sacking by United in December, Solskjaer is said to have other plans in the short term.

Solskjaer has admitted recently of turning down several club offers.
