Tottenham must assess Giovani dos Santos' fitness before he continues his spell at Ipswich.

Speaking to the Official Club Website, Town Physio Matt Byard said: "Giovani trained on Friday and Saturday but his groin was still niggling him a little bit.

"Mexico didn't want to risk him for their game tomorrow so he's going back to Tottenham to be assessed.

"Obviously if he's okay, we'd like to get him back training on Thursday or Friday and take it from there but it will be all down to what Tottenham say."
