Ipswich have made an approach to Manchester United for defender Jonny Evans.
The Journal says Ipswich manager Jim Magilton this week contacted Sir Alex Ferguson and is awaiting an answer as he seeks to add the talented Manchester United defender to his squad at Portman Road.
