Ipswich boss Paul Jewell is waiting for club's to get back to him in his efforts to bring in new faces ahead of Saturday's season opener at Bristol City. Jewell had been hoping to sign two new players to boost his ranks before the start of the season, with Blackburn midfielder Keith Andrews one name heavily linked to a loan switch.
But Jewell told the club`s official website: "It`s pretty disappointing as we`ve tried to bring in two new players this week.
"I`d like to say we`re in negotiations but there isn`t any when people won`t return your calls, which is disappointing, but hopefully they will get back to me one day next week."
