Lecce are confident of landing Internacional de Porto Alegre midfielder Edinho.

Despite competition from Palmeiras, Lecce are close to agreeing a £2 million deal for the Brazilian midfielder.

"I spoke with my management about these negotiations," said Edinho. "The offer that I received from Lecce is very good and I've accepted it.

"I have spoken with Lecce and I want the chance to join this prestigious club."
