Internacional de Porto Alegre have put attacking midfielder Alex up for sale.

The 27 year-old carries an EU passport and is being chased by Atletico Madrid, Fiorentina and Schalke 04.

Inter want £5 million for Alex and their president, Luis Carlini, said: "Alex is at a great stage in his career and knows that it is time for negotiations with Europe.

"This is a player's choice, it is not time to play in the Arab world."
