Interest continues from Europe for FC Dallas' John

FC Dallas defender George John continues to attract interest from clubs in Europe.

The 24-year old was close to a move to Blackburn Rovers in the summer and now some clubs in Greece are taking a look at his credentials.

However, his agent Ted Philipakos told goal.com that his client is unlikely to depart Pizza Hut Park this off-season.

"George continues to attract interest from Europe - most notably from England and Greece, to this point - but I do not expect George to move in the winter period," Philipakos said.

"George feels good about the fact that we have options. If he wants to extend with MLS, we're in a stronger position now than ever before to make a deal that truly reflects his value, at least in the context of the MLS market, while if he wants to move to Europe, he'll be able to do that in 2012.

"Unless something changes, he'll start preseason with FC Dallas on January 15."
