Inter Milan veteran Diego Godin has urged fans to be upbeat after losing the Europa League final.

Godin is adamant momentum is with them.

He said, “An intense and different season in football has ended, with everything that has happened in the world, while we continue to fight to return to normal.

“We would have loved to win and give the win to our fans but it wasn't possible. I hope you still feel proud of the work and effort we gave on the pitch yesterday and throughout the season.

“This is just a break in the process. A path that this team has taken to continue to grow and to achieve the goals that this club's history deserves. Now we'll rest and recharge our batteries to come back with even more desire and enthusiasm."
