The Sun says Jose Mourinho has instructed his new club to splash out for Frank Lampard, Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba.

The ex-Blues boss will be confirmed as Inter manager in the next 48 hours after the Italian champs axed Roberto Mancini.

And he has already handed a transfer dossier to the Serie A club's president Massimo Moratti. Mourinho knows the players' contract details from his time at Chelsea and Inter's cash bid reflects that - plus the ages of the trio.

Each of them will be 30 by the start of next season, with Lamps the highest earner on £125,000 a week. Inter value Drogba at £21.5m, Carvalho at £7m and Lampard at £6.5m.
