Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has confirmed his interest in Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

"Lampard is very appreciated at Chelsea but we are talking about him possibly signing," he said.

"As for Lampard I think much will depend on how the Champions League final ends," said Moratti, who also admitted a move for Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard would be "very difficult" and that the Italian champions' manager, Roberto Mancini, may leave after all.

Jose Mourinho, who worked with Lampard at Chelsea, is believed to be ready to replace him.
