Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is standing by his €35 million asking price for Douglas Maicon.
The Brazil fullback wants to go to Real Madrid, but Moratti insists he will only leave if their valuation is met.
He said: "I do not want to lose him because he is a great player. Madrid have asked for him, but everyone is free to make their assessment.
"I consider him the best in the world and so we need to aim high.
"Could there be players included in a swap? I don't see how. How could you replace him?
"At the moment we are calm, as he is, because of the World Cup. We'll see what happens ..."
Basically, Moratti has told his opposite number at Real, Florentino Perez: forget player swaps, if you want Maicon cough up €35 million cash.
