Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti believes trouble will continue to follow Manchester City firebrand Mario Balotelli.
Balotelli's future at City is now in question.
"It's just his personality," said Moratti, who sold Balotelli to City last summer.
"In life you can change everything, but it's very difficult to change your personality. Having said that, this personality also has positive aspects, such as the constant motivation to battle and prove himself.
"He always has an 'enemy' somewhere or other and goes looking for these things, so we'll always find him in situations right on the limit."
Balotelli has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A for Milan, the club he admits to supporting.
"Although everyone sees him as a hard man, I think he's a lad who really wants to feel close to his family. Therefore I believe he'll return to Italy."
